Our hope is that one day—maybe today—you'll find a way to be part of making history that is just right for you! Here's what we're working on right now...

The Thomas Hansford Williams House Restoration Project

Thomas Hansford Williams HouseOne of the Park's biggest restoration projects is under way thanks to a $200,000 "Save America's Treasures" grant. It's giving us the chance to save a one-of-a-kind piece of history. One that we don't want to lose. To read more about the Thomas Hansford Williams House Restoration Project, click here.

Matching funds for this project are being raised through other grants, donations, and an annual fundraising event—the Patrons Fête.

Plans are under way for the 4th Patrons Fête, Restoring the Golden Era of Coloma, when guests will be entertained and pampered in the finest 19th-century style. Indeed, Bob Edwards, a guest at last year's Fête and an active fundraiser himself, was quoted in the Sacramento Bee, calling the 1st Annual Patrons Fête the "nicest fundraiser I've been to."

If you want to see just what went on, and who was there, click here to see photos of the evening.

If this sounds like the project you've been waiting for, let us know if you can help, and we'll find a way to channel your talents.

Here's how you can make your own history here at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park:

  1. Make a donation, attend the Fête!
  2. Become a Patrons Fête sponsor
  3. Volunteer your time and talent in creating next year's Patrons Fête

Call us at 530.622.6198 and we'll tell you more!
