Ron Briggs, District 4 County Supervisor, will hold meetings in the park Friday, August 21 at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. The public is welcome to come and discuss ideas on how to convince the politicians in Sacramento to keep Marshall Gold Discovery Historic State Park open. Bring a lawn chair.

2009 Summer Performance Series #4

The August Interpretive Performance is coming up! On August 15th the event will be by the Grinding Rock. The performance is from 7:30 pm to about 9:00 pm.  Parking is free and tickets will be sold at the gate or in advance in the Gold Rush Mercantile in the park. Native American Storytelling 

Local Native, "Kimberly ShiningStar" will share her knowledge with visitors at Grandmother Rock on August 15, at 7:30 p.m.  Be prepared to learn about the everyday day life of the indigneous people of El Dorado County.  Kimberly "ShiningStar" is a local Miwok Native with ties to this region thousands of years old.  She is honored to be able to share her knowledge with those that choose to listen.  Kimberly is a Culture Keeper for her people.  She is a gifted singer and storyteller, with the ability to bring the magic of the past alive.
